This is one of the oldest cemeteries in Lithuania of particular importance. The Rasu cemetery is divided into two parts: the Old Rasu cemetery, founded in 1796, in the middle of which there is a neo-Gothic chapel with a bell tower, and the New Rasu cemetery.

Famous Lithuanian writers are buried in the Rasu cemetery.
